I’m Eva, a visual artist, researcher, and facilitator based in Edinburgh.

My practice centres on reimagining and appreciating the everyday, mostly working through collage, but I use a range of mediums! I also run participatory workshops, using collage, drawing and making as ways for people to connect, reflect and challenge concepts. I’ve delivered workshops with communities across Scotland, such a series of drawing and collages with Connecting Craigmillar at Porty Art Walk, my Procrastination Club workshops in Edinburgh, and LIFE, a touring storytelling production where I led visual arts sessions on creating and rewriting narratives.
Alongside my own practice, I work to support creative communities more broadly. I am the co-lead the Creative Community Hubs Network at WHALE Arts, which advocates for grassroots cultural activity and spaces across Edinburgh. I’ve also previously worked with Creative Edinburgh and Edinburgh Performing Arts Development (EPAD) on mentoring, residencies and artist development.
I studied philosophy at the University of Edinburgh and an MA in Participatory Arts at Queen Margaret University, both still shape how I think about process and participation. I’m now doing a practice-based PhD with Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh Napier University and WHALE Arts. My research, The Other Side of the Festival City is focused on grassroots festivals, local archives and how we shape sustainable cultural futures.
